Karen, or Cho as what most of her school peers call her, is a Computer Science student at the University of the Philippines-Cebu. Not a born techie and rather be a poet and a journalist, she got her inspiration of becoming a programmer way back in her first computer lesson in high school when she asked herself the question, “What’s the big deal about computers that I have to be scolded many times for being dumb at it?”. That one greatly challenged her to make a radical decision on her career path. Now, she is an enthusiastic learner and a wannabe programming guru...(hakhakhak)... and finds developing web applications the most challenging. When asked about her favorite subjects she likes math and, literature, of course. A very common scenery when she’s at home is seeing her dance to the beat of what’s being played on the component. Oftentimes she grabs the guitar, plays, and when in mood, composes a song. She also loves mountain hiking and river trekking. Multiple inclinations, isn’t it? That leaves her a bunch of choices on what web app to build... |

A 3rd year BS Information Technology student from the University of San Carlos. He is currently a noob C and PHP programmer and after graduating from Codrschool will also become a noob Ruby programmer. He dreams of becoming a very high-payed programmer who works at the comforts of his home. Aside from programming, he loves listening to metal music, reading ludlum novels, and watching mind-bending movies. |
An incoming 4th year Information Technology student from the University of San Carlos. He is certified achiever. To name a FEW: he was the class valedictorian during his high school stint; he is a consistent (until graduation hopefully!) no.1 dean’s lister in the College of Arts and Sciences, the largest college of the university; he is also a certified computer technician, an achievement he earned while undergoing training at TESDA; and he has just passed the recent PhilNITS Examination held last April 6, 2008. Aside from being a good programmer, he is also a very understanding friend, a loving son, and a responsible citizen. He likes to surf in the Internet (not in Siargao), watch DVD movies, and read newspapers and magazines. In CodrSchool, he expects to learn the ways of open-source technologies. He doesn’t know anything about the Linux and Ruby world so he is glad that the Simpleteq team is there to help him in his journey! |
